Welcome to the Tuesday edition of our daily Virginia Trump campaign update! We will provide our readers with daily updates on the Trump Virginia campaign from today to November 3 (and after…if need be!).
It’s officially 14 days until the election on November 3 – and 11 days until early voting in Virginia closes. President Trump meets Joe Biden in the final presidential debate THIS THURSDAY. The deadline to request a mail-in ballot in Virginia is Friday, October 23.
It was on this day in 1947, amidst what many deemed the “Red Wave,” Congress began subpoenaing witnesses from Hollywood to testify before the House Un-American Activities Committee. The group known as the Hollywood Ten were called to Capitol Hill where they were plainly asked if they were, or had ever been at any time prior, a communist.
It’s interesting looking back at how America at that time tried everything to try and rid the nation, and the world, of an evil that had brought the world to its knees in the 1940s. Nowadays communists in Hollywood are welcomed and cheered. Masquerading as “Democratic Socialism,” Hollywood elites today are among the most boisterous critics of President Trump, Republicans, conservative values, and capitalism.
President Trump remains on the campaign trail, appearing at rallies in battleground states as the polls officially close in two weeks time. The president will be in North Carolina tomorrow, which will mark ten consecutive days of campaigning since being cleared of COVID-19.
The president’s website hasn’t indicated any rallies taking place at the end of this week, so it’s likely President Trump will return to the White House before making the final final push to end the 2020 campaign.
This coming Saturday, Republican Mike Dickinson, candidate for Richmond City Council will be leading a Trump train parade from just outside the city, into Dickinson’s district. Participants are asked to gather in the parking lot of Mission BBQ (5432 Glenside Drive, Richmond, VA 23228). The parade will begin at 1 p.m.
“We’re trying to get everybody in my district where I’m running fired up and enthusiastic to go to the polls and vote for Trump,” Dickinson told The Virginia Star.
Trump parades have been on the rise across the country, and Dickinson said it’s an opportunity for supporters of the president to come together.
“People are enthusiastic and want to participate in things like this,” he said. “The biggest thing is the media tries to guilt and shame anyone who tries to show support for President Trump. But it’s all about showing we won’t be intimidated.”
Team Trump Virginia will be organizing watch parties for Thursday night’s presidential debate. Keep it here for details.
